CAST & Peter Pan

Ok. So at my school, there's this amaaaaazziing theater program called CAST - Communication-Arts-Speech-Theater. Every year, it has two open auditions - winter & spring - and every student to get up on stage and give a memorized monologue is reviewed by the directors and assigned a part in one of the plays. It's also a day camp in the summer, but I digress.
Anyway, in the winter, there's about four plays, including a musical. CAST musicals are truly marvelous - this past summer, we did Singin' in the Rain, and it TOTALLY ROCKED. (We actually had rain coming out of a machine thingy in the ceiling and onto the freaking stage! People got wet! Mics were waterproof!) My good friend Rory played Cosmo Brown, Don Lockwood's piano-playing right-hand man and the show's comic relief (this is the David Tennant kid, by the way. Here's a link to him as the Doctor: doctorwhopics).
The musical this year - its closing night was this past Sunday - was Peter Pan. The aforementioned Cosmo Brown/David Tennant guy was miraculous in the title role! He and three other kids were harnessed, suspended from steel wires, and hoisted into the air to swing about while singing. In other words, THEY FLEW!!! It was completely amazing. Thanks for a great show, Rory. :) (Hope you don't mind that I put your first name up on the internet...)

PS. Erk-erk-er-erk!

  5. YAY CAST!!!!!! We don't have to say BRAVO! We're to cool for that
(The fact that BRAVO is a rival theatre company has absolutely positively nothing to do with this comment. And am of of course, not a CASTEE (This is under anonymous, right?)
